Who Am I and Why Am I Doing This?

I am Gary Kephart, and I work at renaissance faires in the Southern California area. At the major one, the Renaissance Pleasure Faire (RPF), I portray Sir Charles Blount. I first heard about Blount while doing military history research for the Elizabethan time period. I also was encouraged to play Blount by Terri Saffouri, who was playing Baroness Rich at the same faire. I now own a copy of "Mountjoy: Elizabethan General" by Cyril Falls. I'm ignoring the Portsmouth stuff for the time being. I'm also a colonel of a small regiment of men at RPF.
