A High Lady of Tear. Her husband is High Lord Tedosian.

Physical Description

She is taller than Moiraine, slender, buxom and lovely. She has large brown eyes and long black hair that hangs halfway to her waist. (TSR,Ch21)

In 994 NE, Alteima meets Queen Morgase during a state visit. (TFoH,Ch1)
Alteima poisons her husband Tedosian but he survives. (TSR,Ch21, TFoH,Ch1)
Rand orders High Lady Alteima to go with the forces to Cairhien. He adds that he will have High Lady Estanda care for her husband, High Lord Tedosian, while she is gone. Alteima faints. (TSR,Ch21)
Instead of going to Cairhien, Alteima makes her way to Caemlyn and the Royal Palace where she meets Morgase. Gaebril takes a fancy to her. (TFoH,Ch1)
