She is slender and more than handsome. Her yellow has some white at the temples. She has fine lines at the corners of her gray eyes. (TSR,Ch49)

Lian welcomes Rhuarc, Heirn and Rand to Cold Rocks Hold, but she snubs Couladin. She gives Rhuarc news of the other clans. (TSR,Ch49)

TSR,Ch12 - Aviendha tells Egwene, Elayne and Nynaeve that Amys is Rhuarc's husband. His other wife, Lian, is Aviendha's sister-mother (maternal aunt).
TSR,Ch48 - Aviendha explains to Rand that Rhuarc is clan chief but Lian is roofmistress of Cold Rocks Hold.
TSR,Ch50 - Rand and the others stay at Lian's roof in Cold Rocks Hold.
