• None of the five searchers seems in a hurry to leave. (NS,Ch8)
• One by one, Meilyn, Kerene, Aisha, Ludice and Valera leave the White Tower to begin their hunt for the Dragon Reborn. (NS,Ch14)
• Valera is murdered by the Black Ajah. (NS,Ch18)
