This section provides an overview of the contents of the development case.  It places the development case in the context of the development organization and other, more generic, processes (see Development Case: Context and Applicability).

It also defines the underlying mechanisms used in the construction of the development case:

and describes the process architecture adopted.

The process architecture is defined in terms of the process's lifecycle model, and selection of disciplines (see Development Case: Life Cycle Model and Disciplines), and is complemented with a set of sample iteration plans illustrating how the process architecture adapts over time (see Development Case: Sample Iteration Plans).
