Sarene Nemdahl

An Aes Sedai of the White Ajah. She sides with the White Tower. She is from Tarabon. Her Warder is Vitalien.

Physical Description

Sarene is one of the most beautiful women in the Accepted quarters, but she seems unaware of it. (NS,Ch4) She has a face that would make any man look twice. (LoC,Ch25) She wears her dark hair in numerous braids with beads. (LoC,Ch25) She is very beautiful. (TPoD,Ch29)

Chronology

• Tamra Ospenya summons all Accepted including Sarene to the Oval Lecture Hall where she announces a bounty for women who recently gave birth. (NS,Ch3)
• The Accepted including Sarene scramble back to their rooms and prepare to leave the White Tower to take the census. Sarene collects names at the first camp south of Alindaer. (NS,Ch4)
• Returning from census taking, Katerine and Sarene pass by Moiraine and Siuan on their way to dinner. (NS,Ch8)
• Sarene teaches Egwene in a novice class. (LoC,Ch25)
• Coiren leads the first team of the White Tower embassy to Rand. The others include Erian, Galina, Katerine, Nesune and Sarene. They meet with three of the Shaido Wise Ones. (LoC,Prologue)
• Coiren, Erian, Galina, Katerine, Nesune and Sarene arrive in Cairhien. (LoC,Ch24)
• The White Tower embassy stays at the palace of Lady Arilyn. They meet with Rhuarc. (LoC,Ch25)
• Coiren, Erian, Galina and Sarene discuss the mysterious Green Ajah sister in Cairhien and whether or not she is really Moiraine. (LoC,Ch25)

• Beldeine, Elza, Erian, Nesune and Sarene are in the sunroom of the Sun Palace with Cadsuane. Cadsuane has Sarene take Harine and Derah din Selaan back to their quarters. (WH,Ch13)
• Cadsuane allows Beldeine, Elza, Erian, Nesune and Sarene to accompany her to Far Madding, but she does not allow them to bring their Warders. She gives Sarene the task of educating Harine about Far Madding. (WH,Ch23)
• Sarene explains a bit of the history and government of Far Madding to Harine as they arrive at the Hall of the Counsels. (WH,Ch24)
• Beldeine, Elza, Nesune and Sarene accompany Rand, Cadsuane and the others from Far Madding to Shadar Logoth. Corele, Sarene and Damer link and patrol the area. They encounter Demandred and a fight ensues. They eventually drive him off. (WH,Ch35)
• Corele, Daigian, Merise, Beldeine, Elza, Erian, Nesune, Sarene and Verin accompany Cadsuane and Rand to the Pendaloan estate in eastern Tear to recuperate. (CoT,Ch23)
• Erian and Sarene report to Rand and Cadsuane that their Warders, Rashan, Bartol and Vitalien, have Traveled from Cairhien and are nearby. Elza acknowledges that Fearil is also with them. (CoT,Ch23)
• Merise questions Semirhage while Cadsuane and Narishma watch. Erian, Sarene and Nesune hold her shield. (TGS,Ch5)
• Cadsuane, Sorilea and Bair question Semirhage while Daigian and Sarene hold her shield. (TGS,Ch14)
• Sarene questions Semirhage while Cadsuane watches. Daigian, Erian and Elza hold her shield. They are all shocked when Cadsuane paddles Semirhage. (TGS,Ch17)
• Cadsuane, Merise, Sarene, Erian and Beldeine check on Rand after the attack. Merise reports that Daigian is dead, Nesune and Corele are in a trance and Elza is missing. (TGS,Ch23)
• Beldeine, Corele, Erian, Merise, Nesune and Sarene are among the Aes Sedai who accompany Rand from Bandar Eban to the Stone of Tear. (TGS,Ch42)
• Erian, Nesune, Sarene and Beldeine are not welcome near Rand any more so they join Cadsuane�s camp. (TGS,Ch48)
• Bera, Rafela and Sarene report to Cadsuane that Alanna disappeared from the Stone of Tear. There was not enough channeling for a gateway. (ToM,Ch12)
