A Cairhienin woman, leader of the society who mimic the Aiel and leader of Cha Faile. She is a minor noble wearing six slashes of color.

Chronology
- Colavaere sends Selande to try to seduce Rand, but he terrifies her and chases her away. (TFoH,Ch51)
- Many Cairhienin including Colavaere, Dobraine, Maringil and Selande and many Tairens including Meilan, Fionnda, Anaiyella, Maraconn, Gueyam and Aracome wait to meet with Rand in the Sun Palace but he Travels to Caemlyn instead. (LoC,Ch19)
- Selande becomes a leader of the young Cairhienin who play at being Aiel. (LoC,Ch50)
- Selande meets Rand and his entourage as they enter the Sun Palace in Cairhien. (ACoS,Ch4)
- She accompanies Rand and his entourage to the Grand Hall. (ACoS,Ch5)
- Selande tries to follow Perrin and Faile to their quarters but they tell her to scram. (ACoS,Ch6)
- Selande is one of the Cha Faile who accompany Perrin and Faile to Ghealdan. (ACoS,Ch27)
- Selande and Meralda report to Faile on their mission to Bethal. (TPoD,Ch8)
- Selande leads Carlon, Medore Damara and others of Cha Faile to confront Perrin. He told them they cannot have their horses; if they want to play at Aiel then they have to run like the Aiel. He gives them their horses in exchange for their agreeing to obey him until Faile is found. (WH,Ch6)
