Sevanna

Pronunciation: seh-VAHN-nah

A {Jumai] Shaido Aiel. She was the wife of the Shaido clan chief Suladric and roofmistress of Comarda Hold.

Physical Description She has golden hair. She is pretty and well short of her middle years with a greedy mouth and pale green eyes. (TSR,Ch57) She has green eyes, wears lots of jewelry. (ACoS,Prologue) She emerald eyes and golden hair. (ACoS,Ch40)

Chronology

• Sevanna leads a large contingency of Shaido to Alcair Dal. (TSR,Ch49)
• At Alcair Dal, Sevanna urges Couladin to speak, but it backfires when he carries things too far and gets caught in a lie. (TSR,Ch57)
• Sevanna and Couladin lead the Shaido from Alcair Dal before Rand returns. (TSR,Ch58)
• Sammael finds Sevanna in Kinslayer's Dagger and gives her a call box. (LoC,Prologue)
• Sevanna, Therava and Desaine meet with Coiren and the rest of the Aes Sedai embassy to Rand. (LoC,Prologue)
• Sevanna and the Shaido establish themselves in Kinslayer's Dagger. (LoC,Ch17)
• Sevanna, Therava and Emerys show up at the Wise Ones' tents near Cairhien. Sevanna is now acknowledged as a Wise One. (LoC,Ch32)
• Sevanna visits Cairhien again, but leaves the day after Rand arrives. (LoC,Ch50)
• Sevanna and her Wise Ones visit the Aes Sedai camp and view Rand. She plans to make him her husband. Later, she has her Wise Ones murder Desaine. (LoC,Ch53)
• Sevanna orders the Shaido Wise Ones to help in the attack on the Aes Sedai holding Rand at Dumai's Wells using the death of Desaine as incentive. (ACoS,Prologue)
• Sevanna has her Wise Ones use the call box to call Sammael and meets with him and Graendal. She asks for devices to control Aes Sedai and a method to Travel so she can gather more wealth. (ACoS,Ch20)
• Nine days after the battle at Dumai's Wells and six days after the meeting with Caddar, Therava and a large group of Shaido Wise Ones and Maidens arrive at Sevanna's camp bringing Galina. Caddar and Maisia arrive with "travel boxes." Caddar gives Sevanna a binder. They open gateways and disperse the Shaido. Sevanna brings all of the Wise Ones who can channel with her and winds up in Ghealdan. (ACoS,Ch40)
• Sevanna and six Wise Ones question and kill a Seanchan soldier. Therava and the other Wise Ones force her to accept Therava as an advisor. After they force Galina to swear obedience Therava takes the binder from Sevanna. They agree to leave the area and move east. (TPoD,Ch11)
• Sevanna still wants more gai'shain. She sends out a force that captures Faile, Alliandre, Maighdin, Arrela, Lacile, Bain and Chiad. (TPoD,Ch30)
• Sevanna rides by while Therava and Someryn inspect Faile and the other new gai'shain. She learns the identity of Alliandre and that she is sworn to Faile. (WH,Ch4)
• Despite Therava's urgings, Sevanna is determined to stay put in the rich city of Malden. She has Faile punished for stealing a knife. (CoT,Ch9)
• Sevanna and Therava argue over whether or not to stay in Malden. Sevanna leads a life of luxury attended by dozens of gai'shain. (KoD,Ch5)
• Sevanna has Faile and Alliandre beaten because her bath water was not hot enough. (KoD,Ch26)
