Vane receives descriptions of Mat and Perrin and orders to kill them. (KoD,Ch3, KoD,Ch11)
Mistress Alstaing drinks and dices with Masters Camrin, Kostelle and Vane before settling to bargaining for their lacquerware. When Vane recognizes Mat, he quickly leaves to organize an attack. He is killed in the fight. (KoD,Ch11)
