Akein is a razor, a black and white breed owned almost exclusively by Domani nobility. She has very fine lines. (KoD,Ch6)

Mat buys a razor from Toke Fearnim in Jurador. The mare is even finer than Pips. (KoD,Ch6)
Mat gives the razor to Tuon and they go riding. She names the horse Akein, Swallow in the Old Tongue. (KoD,Ch8)
Selucia accompanies Mat and Tuon on her new horse, Rosebud, when they ride Pips and Akein. (KoD,Ch10)
