An Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah. She is actually Black Ajah. She is from Tarabon.

Physical Description

A Taraboner with black hair, she has an unusually delicate stomach for one of the Black Ajah. (ACoS,Ch17)

Chronology

As a novice in the White Tower, Ispan runs away and makes her way to Ebou Dar before being caught and returned. (WH,Ch8)
Amico Nagoyin, Asne Zeramene, Berylla Naron, Chesmal Emry, Eldrith Jhondar, Falion Bhoda, Ispan Shefar, Jeaine Caide, Joiya Byir, Marillin Gemalphin, Rianna Andomeran and Temaile Kinderode flee the White Tower with Liandrin exposing themselves as Black Ajah. They take several ter'angreal with them. (TDR,Ch13)
Moghedien takes over Liandrin's group of the Black Ajah in Amador and assigns them tasks. She sends Falion and Ispan to Ebou Dar to find the *angreal stash. (TFoH,Ch18)
Falion and Ispan are in Ebou Dar on Moghedien's orders looking for the stash of *angreal. They question a Wise Woman Callie who dies in the process. They consider kidnapping or killing Elayne and Nynaeve. (ACoS,Ch17)
Falion and Ispan arrive at the six story building with two dozen men and shield Nynaeve. They are defeated and Ispan is captured and shielded. (ACoS,Ch38)
Ispan is held in the Tarasin Palace drugged by Nynaeve and shielded by the Kin Elders. They recover the silver ring ter'angreal from her. (ACoS,Ch39, (KoD,Ch15))
At the Tarasin Palace stableyard, Ispan is shielded by Kirstian as they ride through Aviendha's gateway to the farm. (TPoD,Ch1)
Famelle and Eldase escort Ispan as they traverse the gateway. (TPoD,Ch2)
Kirstian leads Ispan as they ride from the gateway to the farm. The Kin and the Aes Sedai all bug Elayne about Ispan being held by the Kin instead of the Aes Sedai. (TPoD,Ch3)
Adeleas and Vandene begin questioning Ispan. (TPoD,Ch4)
Ispan is notably meeker after questioning. Adeleas and Vandene have care of her as they Travel with Elayne to Andor when the Seanchan attack the farm. (TPoD,Ch6)
Adeleas and Vandene continue to question Ispan as they travel across Andor with Elayne toward Caemlyn. (TPoD,Ch20)
Two days before they reach Caemlyn Ispan and Adeleas are drugged and murdered by Careane Fransi. (TPoD,Ch28, KoD,Ch31)
