Rolan

An Aiel warrior. He is one of the Mera'din who joined the Shaido.

Physical Description

He is as wide as Perrin and a head taller. (TPoD,Ch30) He has blue eyes. (WH,Ch3) He has a deep voice. (CoT,Ch9) He has short, red, curly hair. (KoD,Ch5)

Chronology

Led by Efalin, Rolan and others of Sevanna's Shaido capture Faile, Alliandre, Maighdin, Arrela, Lacile, Bain and Chiad and make them gai'shain. (TPoD,Ch30)
Rolan leads Faile back to the Shaido camp. He carries her after she develops frostbite. (WH,Ch3)
Therava and Someryn dismiss Rolan and the others when they come to inspect the new gai'shain. (WH,Ch4)
Rolan rescues Faile from Nadric and later comforts her when she is punished. He sees her as his gai'shain even though Sevanna took her. (CoT,Ch9)
Rolan and the other Mera'din plan to return to the Three-fold Land and Rolan wants to take Faile with him. (KoD,Ch5)
Rolan badgers Faile about playing kissing games. (KoD,Ch26)
Rolan, Jhoradin and Kinhuin rescue Faile and the others from the collapsed house and lead them out of Malden. (KoD,Ch29)
When Perrin sees Rolan leading Faile, he attacks Rolan and kills him with his hammer. Faile and Lacile stab Kinhuin and Jhoradin in the back. (KoD,Ch30)
